2026 चा हंगाम 15 मार्च ते 31 मे दरम्यान खेळवला जाईल, तर 2027 चा हंगाम 14 मार्च ते 30 मे पर्यंत होईल.
हंगामासाठी वेळ वाढवण्यात आला असला तरी, सामन्यांची संख्या मात्र 75 च राहणार आहे. याआधी 90 किंवा अधिक सामन्यांची चर्चा होती, पण बीसीसीआयने ती बातमी फेटाळून लावली आहे.

बीसीसीआयने इतर देशांच्या क्रिकेट बोर्डांशी चर्चाही केली असून, पुढील तीन हंगामांसाठी परदेशी खेळाडूंनी आयपीएलसाठी उपलब्ध राहण्याची हमी दिली आहे.
पीएसएलसाठी चिंता वाढली
2025 मध्ये पाकिस्तानमध्ये चॅम्पियन्स ट्रॉफी 19 फेब्रुवारी ते 9 मार्च या कालावधीत खेळवली जाणार आहे. या स्पर्धेनंतर खेळाडू लगेचच आयपीएलमध्ये सहभागी होतील.
